Bakersfield Art Association - Featured Artist
Martin’s current project, Fluid Sculpture, uses fluids which have liquid or gaseous particles that easily yield and reshape when acted upon by force to create unique textures and shapes. By utilizing a macro photography process he artistically captures these dynamic miniature worlds that are not easily detectable by the human eye. A number of his images are created from a specialized form of fluid artwork through the use of colliding water drops and colored lights to create an artistic rendering of water sculpture images. He has worked designing and constructing his photo studio to minimize the use of computer post-processing so that the images have a more authentic look. His goal is that the final images will reveal to the observer an aspect of his art that has never been seen before.
